One of the stars on “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains” was arrested in Louisiana early this morning after cops say he attacked somebody at a street festival.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Russell Hantz — the runner-up from “Survivor: Samoa” — was partying at the Festival International de Louisiane, when he allegedly “shoved” somebody to the pavement.

Cops say Hantz was immediately arrested by Lafayette City Police — and taken to a nearby jail.

Hantz was eventually released.

It was probably like the Ronnie situation where the guy deserved it... Assuming it was a guy, that is.

You never know though... Russel does appear to be an ass sometimes  Laughs

I also heard that it was at a bar Russell owned and the woman who was pushed down, denied it... If he did really do it though, I guess I had him pegged wrong all along Sad I thought his prickish character on Survivor was just for show. Great week for Reality TV stars.

Yeah, I saw that too. It's all so sketchy. Hopefully he clears himself. But that make me wonder how rich this dude really is. He said he wanted to do Survivor to be the best, not for the money.   blink

'Survivor' Star May Go After Cops -- Legally

The "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" star who was arrested for battery in Louisiana yesterday claims the whole thing is a "misunderstanding" -- and is considering taking legal action against the cops who busted him.

A source close to Russell Hantz tells TMZ the reality star was partying near a bar he owns in Lafayette, LA Friday morning when some random partygoer told cops they saw Hantz push a woman.

We're told the alleged victim was a member of Hantz's party crew and she told cops that Hantz never touched her. But according to our source, cops told Hantz that because they had a witness statement, they were going to arrest him anyway.

We're told Hantz believes the cops mistreated him during the incident -- and now he's considering taking legal action against the arresting officers.

I doubt it went down like that. If that were the case, I could get anyone arrested, just by making crap up.
